End-to-end healthcare ICT consultancy
We provide technology planning, design, specification and implementation management for hospitals and healthcare facilities — creating integrated environments that support clinical operations while holding the line on security, reliability and compliance.
01
Hospital ICT infrastructure design
The physical and network foundation the whole facility runs on — designed alongside the building, not retrofitted into it.
Strategic ICT planning & needs assessment
We start with hospital stakeholders, assessing clinical and operational requirements and translating them into a technology plan aligned with the Medical Brief. The design supports both current needs and future expansion, in line with the hospital’s long-term strategy and with MCMC and MOH guidelines.
Network & infrastructure design
- Robust, high-availability wired and wireless networks with built-in redundancy for uninterrupted clinical operations
- Secure network segmentation — VLANs separating clinical, administrative and guest traffic
- Bandwidth optimisation and disaster recovery solutions
- Passive and active infrastructure, structured cabling and GPON convergence
- All necessary submissions to the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC)
ICT space planning
Server rooms, data centres and telecommunication rooms designed with advanced cooling, UPS backup and physical security measures, complying with CGSO and other relevant standards.
VoIP & telephony design
Voice over IP design and systems-to-telephony integration — more cost-effective and more flexible than legacy PABX, and integrated with the hospital’s other systems.
02
Hospital systems planning & procurement
Deciding what the hospital needs, writing it down precisely enough to tender, and evaluating what comes back against criteria set before the bids open.
Integrated hospital information systems
We advise on functional requirements and implementation of the core clinical systems, all interconnected through HL7 and FHIR health informatics standards for data exchange:
- Hospital Information System (HIS) with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS)
- Radiology Information System (RIS)
- Laboratory Information System (LIS)
- Pharmacy Information Systems (PhIS)
- Critical Care Information Systems (CCIS)
Medical equipment integration
Modern hospitals run on networked medical devices. We coordinate closely with medical equipment planners to ensure connectivity and interoperability for:
- Diagnostic imaging equipment
- Patient monitoring systems
- Anaesthesia machines and ventilators
- Smart infusion pumps
- Laboratory analysers
Tender preparation & evaluation
- Development of ICT tender specifications
- Tender evaluation against preset criteria
- Pre-bid proposals: ICT scope, design concept and costing in accordance with the client’s requirements
- Room Data / RDI input identifying network points, PCs, printers, imaging stations and wireless coverage
Controlling project cost
ICT is one of the easier line items for a hospital project to lose control of. We determine costs up front, streamline the design to sit within the budget, and recommend cost-effective product options — so the technology scope is a known quantity before it reaches tender.
03
System implementation project management
A design is only worth what the installation proves. We supervise the works, then test and commission the result against the specification we wrote.
During construction
- Work supervision against the approved ICT design
- Equipment and system configuration oversight
- Coordination with contractors and solution providers
- Design compliance review and implementation monitoring
Testing & commissioning
- Network performance validation
- Medical device connectivity checks
- System integration testing
- Staff technical training programmes
- Completion of handover documentation
Post-implementation support
We provide defect liability period supervision, including preventive maintenance monitoring and prompt resolution of technical issues, so the hospital moves into operation without the ICT becoming its own problem.
Across every stage
Regulatory compliance & security
We guide the project through Malaysia’s healthcare ICT regulatory framework and its data protection requirements. Our security protocols include firewall configurations, access controls and regular vulnerability assessments to protect sensitive patient data, guided by the standards of Malaysia’s National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA).
How we work with the design team
Our approach emphasises close collaboration with architectural and medical planners, equipment vendors, ICT solution providers and construction teams, to deliver a fully optimised technology infrastructure aligned with the medical facility’s operational requirements and corporate objectives.
Incorporating our consultancy into the project team goes beyond a technology installation. It creates a digital foundation that enhances patient care, improves clinical efficiency, and offers long-term sustainability.
